Aiyo, looks like my short-term memory has spread to my mother too. Yes. her birthday's just around the corner (14 march) but I still hav no idea what present to give. But still, cannot act blur. Last night, my family went to relative's hse opposite our block for steamboat, to celebrate their daughter's 1st birthday. Then my mother went to play mahjong and ended up losing quite a bit. There was one particular game where another player actually discarded her winning tile and yet she didn't see it. Even after I tried frantically to whisper to her what she had missed out on, she still had no idea what was happening. Only 1 round after then she realised, "Oh ya.." -_- and by then, that another player had gone on to seal the game liao. And secondly, when me and my mum went back home at abt 1.30am, she forgot to remove her nokia 3100 from her jeans pocket before soaking the garment. Even though she realised it very quickly, it was too late. Now the hp cannot be used le. And so, I became the scapegoat. She said she'll "temporarily" use my nokia 3200 and for myself, use the outdated panasonic x68. What the hell. The earliest where I can upgrade my hp is like one and a half years away. By then I'll be busy with NS liao. Dotz. I know birthdays are an annual affair, and so are very important. But does that give ppl the privilege to be absent-minded? Yes, I agree that we all are human and may forget things sometimes. But 2 times in 2 days - that is way too frequent. Hope my mother's mind is still working 110% as it always has been for the past few years.
