World Cup 2010 has been a campaign full of shocks and upsets.
Spain downed by Switzerland, Germany stunned by Serbia.
And if you thought the elimination of 2006's runner-up France wasn't shocking enough, take this:



For the odds of 36/5, a Slovakia win against Italy seemed very unlikely.
But what can be unlikely if Switzerland, at 46/5, was able to sink the mighty Spanish?

The last 20 minutes of the Slovakia-Italy match will qualify as one of the most EPIC climaxes I'd witnessed to date.
Robert Vittek netted a brace on 25 and 73 minutes, but Antonio Di Natale grabbed one back for the Azzurri on the 81st.
Fabio Quagliarella bundled in what seemed to be the equaliser on 85 minutes, but was disallowed for offside, a decision that perhaps proved to be costly for Marcello Lippi's men.
Substitute Kamil Kopunek appeared to have sealed the game with Slovakia's third on 89 minutes.

YET IT WAS STILL NOT OVER.

Quagliarella responded with an awesome chip on 92 minutes, and Simone Pepe missed another glorious opportunity to equalise in the dying seconds.
What an intense game indeed.
And the defending champions will be on their flight home, finishing last in the group like the Les Bleus did.

Come the first month celebration, you'll be able to see for yourself.
No concrete plans have been made for his first month celebration, but most probably should be on 18th July if everything goes smoothly.

I was stricken with gastric problem again yesterday morning.
Second time in four months, and both times were, coincidentally, caused by hawker food.
Thankfully I only need to return to work tomorrow.

Four more days to 1st year anniversary. :D
