appears that my addiction for com games have become so serious that i can't live without it.just a quick update. reached level 60 for my main character in maplestory. yup. which is considered rather insignificant in a world like aquila, where level 100+ characters prevail.and for pangya, currently at Junior C Junior B liao. not too bad, but accuracy of shots stil lacking. pangya shot rate only 43%.will be terribly busy next week, with monday to saturday all taken up by some activity or the other. and i was supposed to meet my "fren" today, but that did not materialise as i got many things on: first, my project group meeting at amk ; and second, accompanying mother to a buddhist temple in bedok to offer prayers to my ah ma. (tdy dumpling festival mahx) oh well, next week is out. that leaves week 3 and 4 of hols. more than enough choices for a date still =)these translate to less time for gaming, but still, i'm confident of reaching level 70 (ie. 3rd job advancement) and Senior E respectively in maple n pangya by the time the june hols end. these are the ultimate targets/milestones, once reached, will allow me to take a break from gaming, at least until the year-end.

time flies. half a school year has already passed without many knowing it. the hectic JC schedule has taken the breath out of many, myself included. and now even the holidays don't even look like holidays.-make-up lessons on 2nd week (5/6-9/6)-ava camp (8/6-10/6).-fitness remedial on tue and thurs of first 3 weeksthis schedule is considered relatively freed up compared to others who might have AB/Delta leadership camps on first week. but how to make major achievements in Maple or PangYa when there's effectively only 1 week (ie. the last week, which is supposed to be set aside for revision for common tests in june/july) left to train.not to forget the holiday assignments. GP took up a large portion. econs case study to be done by make-up on 6/6. maths, phy and geog got nothing so far, but that's not the point. still have to revise. i think i've very much forgotten most of the concepts thought, yet the satisfaction of levelling in the 2 games stated above will be a massive distraction. yea. massive.but what can be done? virtually nothing. too addicted to online games and smsing during lessons, to the extent that i don't even bother to touch any books when i get home. i know this will ruin my future, blah blah. but who gives a damn? one person's strength can't contribute much to success.have already sorted out my thoughts for the upcoming week. priority is to ENJOY. yup. mayb will work on 1 or 2 news analyses, but that's about all. probably making a visit to PCBunk tmr for the official launch of PangYa. and next wed i'll be going out wif my fren. curious? u don't have to know who he/she is.

Geog, PW, PD tutor:
1) 85 ; 2) 92 ; 3) 83
average: 86.7
Nothing much to fault her on, apart from the fact that she has high expectations on our work, particularly in PW.
Physics: (relief teacher)
1) 44 ; 2) 30 ; 3) 68
average: 46.7
Perhaps she's still inexperienced. Needs more exposure in the teaching world.
Physics: (original tutor)
1) 63 ; 2) 87 ; 3) 82
average: 77.3
Maintains high level of discipline during lesson. Though he only taught us for 2 weeks so far, i can tell he'll go the extra mile in helping us perform well in the subject. Econs: (relief teacher)1) 58 ; 2) 67 ; 3) 70average: 65.0Able to capture our attention, though some of us may not really like his style.Econs: (original tutor)1) 56 ; 2) 46 ; 3) 78average: 60.0Trying hard to make us interested in the subject, and even though many students hav said that she's a great teacher, i dun think many from my class will agree. i guess time will tell. mayb she can teach the concepts in a less boring manner?

Names will not be revealed to protect their privacy.Math:1) Rapport - 652) Conduct lessons - 833) Efficiency - 75Average - 74.33Not very well-liked as the class doesn't seem to agree with his teaching style. But he is able to capture the class's attention most of the time. In addition, assignments are always returned within 1-2 weeks.GP:1) 77 ; 2) 92 ; 3) 88Average - 85.67Though she seems to be dishing out one assignment after another, at the end of the day, like it or not, these are for every1's own good. generally good rapport with class, excellent teaching style, and work is always returned within ONE week. assignments unaccounted for/of poor quality would also be chased after, though it should be our own responsiblity to ensure all hw has been cleared.

how do we judge the capabilities of teachers? we know they're under loads of pressure everyday, just that many students neglect about that and therefore might not appreciate the things teachers do for their own good.in my opinion, there are FOURTHREE factors which determine whether a teacher is really "good".1) rapport with the students. if the teacher is unpopular amongst his/her students, nobody will listen to him/her.2) the manner in which he/she conducts lessons. not too casual, but not too monotone either. sounds like a tall order.3) level of bias he/she displays when handling certain issues. nobody will like it if he/she constantly favours one student over the rest.Teachers very seldom, and should never, display bias.
3) efficiency of the teacher. you don't expect work submitted today to be returned only 2 to 3 weeks later.my upcoming entry will reveal my analyses of the teachers who hav taught me n my class so far in term 2. they will be judged in all 4 areas as stated above out of a score of 100 and an average score will then be derived. please do not be mistaken. it's not because i hate life so much that i end up being so critical about things. rather, it's the rigour of gp that have made me become like this, believe it or not.

had a miserable outing in NAPFA test tdy. failed pull-up, standing broad jump, n shuttle run. crap loh. the teachers here so different from sec sch teachers, who are much more lenient in every aspect. or should i say, the standard has been raised too much. next time go NS sure die.the 2-hr GP lesson following that was yet another morale "dent-er". got chided by my tutor for being so absent-minded. true. i've been forgetting lots of stuffs related to gp nowadays. not tat i hate the subject, but juz too lazy to work on gp assignments. haiz. this mentality reali has 2 change if i'm hoping 2 pass the mid-yr common tests.latest news: miss johnson might not be our PD tutor (ie. form teacher) from next week. sad loh. she knows how to promote class spirit, and treats us very well too. sometimes she might get harsh bt that's only for every1's own good. hope she will continue being our PD tutor 4 the rest of tis yr.quick update on to-do list.term: 2 ; week: 91) math: mathematical induction tut Q1-42) GP: 2 commentaries (19/5), file check - work file with 11 items (22/5), grp essay need to re-do(22/5), 3rd body para for essay qn (22/5), grp presentation on politics n mass media (22/5)3) geog: grp presentation on migration case studies (wk 10)4) PW: GPP draft 3 (19/5, 1600 hrs)upcoming tests:mid-yr common tests in term 3/week 1

die lo. the phy and geog tests tis wk were both disasters of magnitude 9 on the richter scale. k la, i know that's VERY lame. bt it's true. had left 1/3 of the phy paper BLANK. and the geog DRQ? no better. for 2nd part of question, had onli written 7-8 lines while my classmates wrote like god knows how much stuff. of cuz it's the quality of answers tat count, but short answers won't make d grade either. =/one piece of consolation is the fact that the "waves of tests" over the past 2 weeks are finally over. but gt 2 brace for a 2nd wave come the mid-yr common tests in T3/W1, which i have no confidence of doing well, as usual. plus our GP tutor, who constantly adds new assignments to our workload. other subjects not so bad lo. haiz. the weekly 2 commentaries that we're supposed to hand in have become much of a chore for me, though i hate 2 sae tis. i understand she wei wo men hao (i.e doing all these for our own good), but at the same time i can tell that many of my frens dun reali lyk her style, but come on ppl, get a life! she's 1 of the better and more lenient tutors u can find in AJ. so what more do u ask for?anyways, gtg back home and rush all the GP stuffs now. it's jus not right 2 owe assignments. no point making life difficult for the tutor. at the end of the day, who will suffer? not the teachers, but myself.

make that 2 out of 2.yet another unexpected (or shld i sae expected) pass in math common test. 17.5/30. doesn't seem too satisfactory though. quite a number of careless mistakes throughout the paper.meanwhile, tdy there's physics test n tmr, geog. will try my best to make this fine run continue. it's certainly a good start, though i think econs test last thurs sure no hope to pass alr.

the results for the 3 EPL matches i'd predicted:---newcastle 1-0 chelsea (predicted: 1-2)from the opening whistle, it was obvious that the blues are just interested in taking a stroll at st james' park. the magpies had it easy there. and the win also confirmed that they will finish at 7th n thus enter the Intertoto Cup. won't place any bets on chelsea in the future. when i believe they'll be defeated by man united, they rose to the occasion and thrashed the devils 3-0. but now? what a tale of two extremes.---portsmouth 1-3 liverpool (2-2)a pool victory was kinda expected among many watchers. i chose to be sceptical and was proven wrong, though portsmouth did put up a spirited fight as seen in their 85th-minute consolation goal.---man united 4-0 charlton (3-1)again, no surprises as man utd destroyed their opponents, but by an even greater margin than i'd anticipated. wow. if only the strikers are able to score that many goals every game. rumour has it though that ruud van nistelrooy won't stay in united for long though, after he left in a fury 3 hrs before the charlton game when he realised he wasn't even in the 1st team. who do u think u are? sir alex definitely has his reasons for leaving u out. anyway, the team CAN do without u. look at this victory and u will understand.

predictions to key EPL matches on sunday, 7th may 06. once again, u can choose not to believe at all, these are just my opinions.--- Newcastle 1-2 Chelseaalready crowned back-to-back champions, the Blues' pace has apparently slowed down, as seen in their 0-1 defeat at Blackburn 3 days ago. with the Magpies still having a good chance of getting into the Inter Totto Cup, the indirect form of entry into the UEFA Cup, by finishing 7th. they might have an outside shot of beating the Blues, but my bet is still on Chelesa. a squad with greater depth makes lots of difference, and certainly Jose Mourinho's team will want to end the season on a high.--- Portsmouth 2-2 LiverpoolPortsmouth successfully secured their place in the top flight after a brave 2-1 victory away at Wigan. they might not have much to play for now, but expect them to take up the role of spoilers against the Reds, who are now vying for automatic champions league qualification against Man Utd with just 1 point separating both teams. an improved attacking force now, portsmouth will make things difficult for the Red's defence.--- Man Utd 3-1 Charltonwhat more can i say? Charlton's form, as in the past few seasons, sizzled out at the home straight, with just 5 points in the past 6 games, including a 1-4 mauling by Bolton and a 0-2 loss againist Blackburn. in my opinion, unlikely that they will be able to spring any surprises. Man Utd isn't in that great form either. 5 points in their past 4 games, 2 goals, 4 conceded. Their misfiring strikers (especially Ruud van Nistelrooy, who missed a penalty against Boro) will definitely hope to impress Sir Alex Ferguson by going on a scoring spree to cap a somewhat disappointing season for the Red Devils.

wasn't in any mood to celebrate even though i managed to clear the 2.4km run. 13 min 23 sec. that's only good enough for the minimum E grade. somemore finished last in my group. saddening. visibly exhausted after the run, i didn't hav the appetite to eat anything cuz my stomach was damn bloated. suffered throughout the entire 2 hrs of GP lessons afterward.really need a rest. but looking at the agenda below, it seems that is hard to be achieved.1) group essay plan on newspaper's dissemination of info - by tis afternoon 1445.
2) 3 news commentaries - by tmr b4 morning assembly.
3) sort out econs file - by next mon's econs tut.
4) yet another group essay plan on racial prejudice - by next mon.
4) physics tut. on forces - by next mon.
5) selected qns for maths tut. on summation of series - by next tue and wed.
6) GP file (work file and reading file) - by next thurs.not forgetting the GPP for PW. the 1st draft will have to be submitted by tdy.okay, need to work on the GPP with my PW group members now. cyaz~1st draft of GPP has been submitted.

once again, was let down by my intuition. had forecasted that man utd will surely collect 3 points from boro and secure 2nd after the painful defeat at chelsea which saw the team lose wayne rooney, their hitman.but yet again i was proven wrong. the match ended in a dull, goal-less draw. implications of the draw? man utd has 80 points from 37 games on 2nd place while liverpool is just 1 point behind. so it will really go right down the wire at their final games.perhaps there's insufficient time for the red devils to recover - they had less than 48 hours rest before the boro game. no excuses though. boro had already fielded an under-strength team to face them, to lower the risk of their players getting injured ahead of their uefa cup final against sevilla. and it appeared that boro's performance was equally, if not better, than their united counterparts.united needs to secure max points in their final game, which should not be that much an uphill task initially. but with this slump in form coming at the wrong time, who knows? liverpool might just steal second spot and condemn united to having to start from the qualifying rounds of next season's champions' league. whatever it is, i certainly hope that will not happen.
