Hello readers, I'm back to post on the day where I've officially become another year older.
It seems that the 21st birthday celebration was not such a distant memory.
A gentle reminder that time does not wait for anyone.
If you want something, you got to work hard for it.
A recap of the events that happened since my last post:
* 4th July: Universal Studios Singapore outing - with Yiling.
This outing was right after I had misplaced my five-month-old iPhone 4 on the cab home from Zouk on 1st July (How careless of me).
Naturally I wasn't in the best of moods, so decided to accompany her to unwind for one day.
We had thought the venue should not be that crowded since it is a Monday.
But the actual fact is, this was YOUTH DAY. A freaking school holiday. -.-
Hence when we reached at 11am the ticket queues were crazy.
Waited for half an hour just to get the tickets ($52.80 per pax after 20% discount with MasterCard).
Inside the theme park, we did not have the chance to take most attractions.
However the Battlestar Galatica was the main attraction and it was not to be missed.
Actually, I was not a fan of thrill rides aka Roller Coaster or Extreme Bungee style.
But eventually just tried out the rides anyway (if not it would really be a waste of money).
Overall an enjoyable experience, will be going there again a second time on 12th September. :)
* 4th August: Shopping Spree. Who says only ladies love to shop?
So I was armed with the 50% discount coupon from Hang Ten and $30 worth of Takashimaya vouchers, and it happened that I was in need of new clothes both for work purposes and chilling out.
This was the itinery for just one day's travels:
[0730 hrs] Bedok South - Morning jog with Elicia
[1205 hrs] Hougang Mall - Purchased new spectacle hooks at $2.50
[1225 hrs] Compass Point - The main dish. From the Hang Ten outlet here I purchased three tops and two bottoms for a grand total of $138.50 (U.P $277)
[1443 hrs] Beach Road - There is a Converse exclusive dealer shop just above the Golden Mile Food Centre. Purchased a new pair of Converse sneakers at just $29
[1538 hrs] Takashimaya Orchard - Quick tour of the Men's apparels but the prices are waaaaaay too steep. Shall KIV till next time..
[1615 hrs] 313 @ Somerset - Meeting a Prudential agent
[1750 hrs] Marina Square - Chilling out with Yiling once again (Y)
[2357 hrs] Home
Total amount of money spent on clothes alone: $167.50.
I guess it is quite true that the more money you earn, you'll end up spending even more. =_=
* 13th August - Amelia's birthday celebration @ Powerhouse.
Initially it was just myself, Timothy and Amelia.
Later in the night, a few of Amelia's friends also joined us in partying the night away.
If I was not mistaken, one of Amelia's friends actually bought her a Flaming Lamborghini drink. Now that was really brutal..
Left the premises at about 4am and only recovered from the subsequent hangover more than 12 hours later.
* 20th August (yesterday) - Birthday celebration @ Rebel/Zirca.
This was the night I was pretty much looking forward to since the start of August.
Unfortunately most of the usual clubbing kakis were not available.
In the end, there was only Derrick, Yiling, Cheryl and several of her friends.
It was an enjoyable night as everyone was in high spirits.
However, I ended up totally wasted and had to be supported by Derrick and Yiling on the way out to the taxi stand. How embarrassing/unglam lol, that's what happens to the birthday guy/lady all the time..
And upon reaching home, I could somehow fiddle with the keys for over 1 minute but still could not get the right key.
Fortunately the hangover was gone by 2pm (Hence here I am typing out the long post and FB-ing at the same time).
Looking forward, Derrick's birthday is coming up on the 26th and there might be another birthday celebration on the cards.
Oh dear. The past two Saturdays, I had already spent close to $500 and this has to come to a stop somehow.
Otherwise, doubt I would be able to save up any cash for future studies or driving lessons.
Shall take a rest now before the birthday dinner tonight. Till next time~
