how do we judge the capabilities of teachers? we know they're under loads of pressure everyday, just that many students neglect about that and therefore might not appreciate the things teachers do for their own good.in my opinion, there are FOURTHREE factors which determine whether a teacher is really "good".1) rapport with the students. if the teacher is unpopular amongst his/her students, nobody will listen to him/her.2) the manner in which he/she conducts lessons. not too casual, but not too monotone either. sounds like a tall order.3) level of bias he/she displays when handling certain issues. nobody will like it if he/she constantly favours one student over the rest.Teachers very seldom, and should never, display bias.
3) efficiency of the teacher. you don't expect work submitted today to be returned only 2 to 3 weeks later.my upcoming entry will reveal my analyses of the teachers who hav taught me n my class so far in term 2. they will be judged in all 4 areas as stated above out of a score of 100 and an average score will then be derived. please do not be mistaken. it's not because i hate life so much that i end up being so critical about things. rather, it's the rigour of gp that have made me become like this, believe it or not.
