so Singapore managed to defeat Thailand 2-1 in the first leg of the ASEAN football championship, through a controversial penalty.
the play from both sides were disappointing, though.
i was expecting so much more.
passes were given away too cheaply.
set-pieces were not delivered well enough.
and who would ever forget the Thais staging a walkout eight minutes from time?

i don't wish to comment further on the game.
what's over is over ; you can't dispute that.
but what's certain is that the Lions will be met with an unexceptionally hostile reception by the Thai crowd in the second leg of the final this coming sunday.
still, i wish them all the best.
play fair, play composed, and most importantly, get the goals.
then you'll all be the toast of the nation.
though i bet the euphoria will be short-lived, as the final stretch of the EPL ensues.
