Back for that once in a long while update~My laptop is still in the processed of being fixed, I don't know when the repairs will be completed, hopefully it'll be settled soon. =xNot much to update about in Audi, currently Level 36, 75%. Trying to chiong to 37 before 2009 draws to a close. Screenshots of latest accomplishments will be updated asap. :)Was at JCube yesterday, saw Xinhui mei and her friend. Tried audi-ing using the new Dell gaming laptop there for two and a half hours. The frame rate of the laptop was excellent, constantly above 90 fps while only consuming about 40% of the system RAM. Chaining perfects was initially a struggle, but when I got used to the laptop it just got easier. x6 for Sorry Sorry and x7 for Heartbreaker. Once in awhile the laptop would freeze though, making me quite pissed off cause of the resultant miss move. Overall, a pretty decent experience, at least better than the old desktops that PCBunk used to have. 7/10 for JCube. For the other internet cafes I've been to, a quick comparison:* AMK Virtualand: 8.5/10Here's where i got the x28 record in beat rush. Despite only clocking 60 fps, chaining was made easy with the headphones available at every single terminal. There is some lag, but doesn't affect the chaining too adversely. Which explains why this is my most favourite hangout (for now).* Yishun Chambers: 6/10 (5/10 without own earphones)Wasn't able to chain well despite good frame rate of 70-80 fps. If you're playing DOTA or Left4Dead, you would love the computers here, but this is not the right place for Audition in my opinion.* Bukit Timah IRC: 8/10 (7/10 without own earphones)Frame rate around that of Yishun Chambers, but slightly easier to chain even without my own earphones. $2 per hour is a tad costly, but hey it's Bukit Timah. Good performance throughout all modes.* Bugis Virtualand: 4/10The first thing about this internet cafe, is the loud background noise for all the terminals running simultaneously. And that already puts me off from playing Audition here. Well, did try for a couple of hours, chaining is okay but not outstanding. Doesn't justify the $2.50/hour pricing for non-members, and even the member packages seem much costlier compared to the AMK or CityVibe branch.* CM Cybercafe (New Bugis Street): 9/10 (8/10 without earphones)Only via my Audition friend had I known about this internet cafe, its location is really ulu (deserted) and unless your eyes are sharp enough, you won't be able to spot it. Now, the computers here just rock. Even without earphones, chaining is pretty much a breeze due to the minimal lag, even less than that at AMK Virtualand. The only problem is perhaps the gaming environment there - it's best to go there with a friend or friends, if you want to avoid any unwanted or uninvited trouble.* CityVibe Virtualand: 7.5/10The experience here is largely similar to the AMK outlet, generally a decent experience, but scores one point lesser due to the distance factor (It takes one hour plus from Hougang to Clementi, compared to 20 minutes to AMK).- will try to update more when I recall the rest -
those memories. 19:05
