Been nearly two months since I'd started working at DOS for Census 2010. Many of my batch's colleagues have already left due to school reopening or other reasons (better paying jobs etc), but of course there are new faces taking over the vacant positions. In fact, earlier this week, *counts from duty roster* 16 people joined my night shift to increase the total manpower strength to 61. Time to socialise with the new guys once again~
The letters I received two days ago from NUS and NTU only served to confirm my path to study at SIM from next year. Yup, it was a negative from both institutes, my 'A' Level results in 2007 were just not good enough to be even considered for discretionary admission. But, as I'd mentioned many times before, there was no regret at all for choosing JC over poly. What's past is already the past.
My sights are already set on applying for Business Management at GlobalSIM. Either UOL ($25k+ over 3 years) or RMIT ($33k+ over 3 years). I'd heard that the course for UOL is very much like 'A' Level all over again, there is not even any coursework, the one final examination at the end of each academic year determines your fate. On the other hand, RMIT integrates coursework into their overall assessment criteria. Though I ain't really a huge fan of groupwork, but having gone through 'A' Level and not done well enough, perhaps this would be the wiser choice. For now I'm still undecided, gotta save up more cash first. Hoping to save at least $3k by end of this year, and $10k by end of 2011.
