That once-every-five-years event is back in Singapore, but with a much more intense atmosphere compared to the previous one in 2006.
And this time I'm required to participate as well.

Yes, the elections are here once more, and the opposition parties will be contesting in 82 of the 87 seats in Parliament, with the exception of Tanjong Pagar Group Representation Constituency (GRC).

My address was surprisingly allocated to Ang Mo Kio GRC.
Which in my opinion, does not make sense at all as Hougang is nowhere near AMK (what about the Serangoon North estate in between?)
But it does not matter, for I have already decided on which party to cast the sacred vote to.

This week is the second consecutive long weekend after the Good Friday week.
Labour Day falls on a Sunday - hence Monday, 2nd May, will be a holiday in-lieu.
Imagine if you get to enjoy long weekends every single week for a month, that would be very helpful in planning for more outings etc.
